About The Artist
Sheila was drawing and painting from a very early age and studied Art History and painting and design at school and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art.. After leaving college she worked in theatrical costume design for a few years before she married and had a son and daughter.
The early impressionists have always been a great influence in her work and she uses mainly acrylics although likes to dabble in watercolours and experiment with other mediums now and then. Sheila's work has been shown in local exhibitions.
Recently she has been drawn to creating more contemporary work which depicts the atmosphere of a place more than a realistic representation.
